Make curved surfaces much easier to tackle with this handy woodworking tip! When sanding the rounded edge of a tabletop, try slipping on a durable work glove and wrapping painter’s tape around the palm with the sticky side facing out. This creates a secure grip for your sandpaper, keeps it from shifting as you work, and offers comfortable protection from heat and stray splinters.

Crawford Merz is proud to have partnered on the construction of CardVault’s newest location at the Mall of America! The trading card and sports memorabilia retailer, backed by Tom Brady, drew a huge crowd while celebrating its exciting grand opening with the NFL legend last month. Known for its next-generation retail experience for buying, selling, trading, and grading collectibles, CardVault has rapidly expanded to nine locations across the country, with more on the way, and is already recognized as “America’s Best Card Shop!”
Festival of Trees 2025 at Mall of America
Crawford Merz is proud to be participating in the Festival of Trees event at Mall of America for the third time this year! Located on the 3rd floor (North), the event began on November 19 and will continue to run through January 5. Visitors are invited to stroll through the festive display of 75 uniquely decorated trees, created by local organizations and businesses!
You may visit free of cost, or purchase a $10 raffle ticket for a chance to win the prizes and decor from your favorite tree. All funds that are raised will go to the MOA Community Foundation, which supports education all across the state of Minnesota.

Children’s Minnesota’s Virtual Joy Lab
This holiday season, on behalf of our customers and partners within the construction industry, Crawford Merz has made a donation to Children’s Minnesota’s Virtual Joy Drive to help spread joy and cheer to the patients of their hospitals and clinics!
By raising money, we will allow Children’s Minnesota’s Child Life Team to supply toys and activities that match their patient’s ages, needs and interests. These items help cheer up patients after a difficult day or procedure, celebrate holidays year-round, and other milestones like birthdays and end of treatment parties.
