A Tip From The Pros You Can Use At Home
Waiting for wood glue to set can slow a project to a crawl, especially if you don’t have proper clamping tools on hand. A simple workaround is to use super glue alongside the wood glue, to save time on small woodworking projects! After applying wood glue to the joint as usual, add one or two tiny drops of super glue near the edge and press the pieces together. The super glue sets almost instantly, holding the wood in place while the wood glue hardens and forms a strong, permanent bond. This method helps keep joints aligned without clamps, and works especially well for trim, moldings, and quick repairs. Only a small amount of super glue is needed, and the wood glue still does the real work once it’s fully set!
