A Tip From The Pros You Can Use At Home
Sanding a curved tabletop? Save your hands! Slip on a leather glove and wrap painter’s tape around it with the sticky side out. The tape will grab the sandpaper so that it won’t slide, and the glove will protect you from heat, friction burns, and splinters.

Congratulations, Dennis Mette!
After an extraordinary 37-year career, including more than 10 years as CFO at Crawford Merz, Dennis has announced his retirement. Bringing deep expertise in accounting, operations, acquisitions, divestitures, finance, and construction, he has been a trusted leader and resource across our organization throughout his tenure. Dennis worked closely with our Project Managers to ensure every project’s finances were executed with skill and accuracy, maintaining our company’s financial strength with remarkable attention to detail. His experience and commitment to excellence have played an important role in delivering the positive client experience we are known for, and we are deeply grateful for his lasting impact. We wish Dennis all the best in his well-earned retirement and the exciting next chapter ahead!
Welcome, Mason Schmitz!
We are happy to announce that Mason Schmitz joined Crawford Merz in January 2026 as our new Chief Financial Officer. Mason brings more than 25 years of experience in corporate and property accounting, along with a strong background building and leading a management company from the ground up. As CFO, he will be a key resource for our team, working closely with our Project Managers to provide strong financial oversight and precise execution throughout every project phase.
