A Tip From The Pros You Can Use At Home

Wood fillers can be used to repair dents, gouges, scratches, holes, and cracks in unfinished wood. While they come in a variety of colors, a great way to match to match the wood you’re working with (and save time and money) is to make your own! You can do this by gathering saw dust from your project, or creating saw dust from a piece of sample wood that matches, and simply adding wood glue.

First, you’ll stir the mixture with a craft stick, adding more glue until it is a thick putty that can be formed into a workable dough. Within 10 minutes, before the wood glue stiffens, you’ll apply it to the wood by hand just as you would with your store bought filler. After you’ve pushed it into the gouge, scratch, or hole, you’ll use a putty knife or craft stick to flatten the wood filler and scrape away the excess. Once it’s dry, just lightly sand the area smooth.

Project Feature: MIMC

We are excited to share photography of Minneapolis Integrative Medicine Center’s new Wayzata clinic, where the MIMC team relocated to this past spring! The 3,549-square-foot wellness space, featuring custom light fixtures and complete with an IV therapy area, was designed by Studio BV and photographed by Corey Gaffer. MIMC providers are trained in integrative and functional medicine, utilizing nutrition, herbs, lifestyle changes, and cutting-edge testing to support individual health journeys, and their new clinic is a unique place where clients can truly enjoy their doctor visits and leave feeling better than when they walked in.
